Noko Jeans is jeans from North Korea. The unique story started a few years back when three young guys from Sweden decided to find out if it was possible to produce jeans in North Korea.
We were asked to come up with branding ideas.

"Noko Jeans is, first and foremost, and forever, a story. This story has several angles and is rich as nothing else, but it is always based on one thing: the people. Noko Jeans is our story of a people (a people that noone else talks about.) We never, ever talk about the politics, not even in the tiniest bit – Noko Jeans is not a glorified Che Guevara t-shirt in the shape of jeans, nor will it ever try to be."

I worked on the design, concept and strategy in corporation with Fred Berman (Art Director), Josefine Frisenfelt (Designer) and Madelene Norell (Designer).

-

Concept:
We worked on a lot of strict shapes and forms to symbolize the controlled North Korea. In contrast to those shapes we worked with light, colors and dreams -- the North Korean people's thoughts and dreams.

The Noko Jeans website is where all the material is gathered. All the content is brought in externally from other sites like Vimeo, Flickr, Twitter and Blogs. The whole story is divided into chapters.

The Noko Jeans would only be sold in a limited quantity and for a limited period of time. Like a small town shop the Noko Jeans website would turn into a webshop with no regular open hours. Buying Noko Jeans should involve some effort for the buyer. This to make it exclusive and to leave the owner with a feeling of achievement and belonging when owning a pair of Noko Jeans.

During a four week period we promoted our class, Digital Media of Hyper Island 2010 through the project www.53colors.com. The concept is a direct answer to the global crisis and at the same time a challenge to the industry to dare to bet more on love and warmth.

I was in the design team and also photographed all the students for the site (together with Anders Nærø Tangen, Adrian Rizell and Greg Solenström)

53colors.com has been featured on various sites, including:

The Diesel Creative Team invited us to join them to create a digital communcation strategy for their charitable organisation, The Only The Brave Foundation. The foundation aims to mobilize and empower youth to end extreme poverty.

The creation of a self-sustaining Only The Brave village in Mali, Africa was their new major project. The brief was to come up with a revolutionary spark of an idea which could connect the village to the world and the world to the village, and to generate awareness and understanding of the project.

We came up with the concept Adventure Capitalism which is a kind of micro-finnance that allows people in the western world to loan their money to OTB for a year to support their project. We did not want to motivate people to help by showing stereotypical images of Africa or appeal to their guilt, but rather encourage to investment and show the oppurtunities and potential that are in the people of Africa. </description>

The brief was to design a future branding concept for a fictional library on a digital platform.

We wanted to reflect the atmosphere of the magical world of literature. It was important to make people understand that literature is something fascinating and that Biblioteket.se is a useful, social and entertaining digital platform. The site gives you literary tips even if you in advance did not know what you were looking for. The site includes a test which intends to do the website more useful, social and entertaining and aims to open the world of literature through your own personality. The result is an analysis of your personality and similarities to one specific literary character as well as tips about related books, films, music and events.

I did design and photography in corporation with Anna Jensen (Art Director), Johan Lundgren (Art Director) and Johan Blomborg (Designer).
